Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday is always a special day. Last year Elise was a newborn and was blessed on Easter, a lot has changed in the past year! I always love going to church on holidays like Easter, the messages are centered on Christ, the church is full, people sing, and everyone looks their best. Today they reorganized the Young Men's presidency in the ward, James was released as the 1st counselor in the Young Men presidency, and was called as the 1st counselor for the new YM president. James was Mike's counselor in the YM and before that he was his counselor in the Elders quorum...I'm not sure if James will know what to do now that he and Mike aren't working together anymore! At church I taught the Young Women's Easter lesson and James taught the Easter lesson for the teachers quorum (with the help of Elise, although I'm never sure how much of a help she really is!) It's been a very good day.

Here is Elise discovering her Easter basket this morning...she's not dressed since we had a diaper incident first thing in the morning...

Elise loves to feed herself now, which is very messy. She stole both spoons I was using to try to feed her...notice the nice mix of yogurt and Easter chocolate on her face?
Sampling her chocolate after getting dressed...she doesn't even let a little wrapper get in the way!
Grandma made her pretty Easter dress, isn't it cute?

Look at how happy she is!

One happy family!

After church, what else is there to do but play with the shoes?
