Elise got sick with another ear infection this week. She was pretty pathetic for a bit. Monday night she started running a slight fever in the middle of the night and it spiked Tuesday morning while she was being watched by our friend Amy at her house. After Elise's hospital stay in February, it made me nervous when her temperature spiked. We took her in to the doctor and he found she had an ear infection and was teething. I felt like an overprotective mother, but the doctor said it was good we brought her in right away. Once she started on the antibiotic she perked right up.
Elise has also figured out how to walk a little bit on her own! She's brave enough to take 5-6 steps on her own regularly, but she still insists on holding a hand when she has to go any farther than that. She loves climbing on things now and doesn't seem to have any fear about falling.
Elise loves socks--she loves to play with them, hold them, pull them off her feet, and now she can say the word too, "docks." And she also just started saying "haa" for hat.

Wednesday night she needed a bath after a messy day, and she had a lot of fun. She splished and splashed, and her hair got kind of wild! But she had a good time in the tub with her rubber ducky.
